Project Management Solutions

Project Management

We believe the success of any project lies in the understanding the client requirement for a building and the ultimate use of the premises. At the inceptionof any project, an experienced project management team, spearheaded by a competent project manager is assigned to synchronize the construction process. Our highly dependable and experienced representatives liaise with all key stakeholders and coordinate the activities of sub-contractors.

Proactive and regular communication strengthens the success of any project and that is the reason why it forms the basis of our project managersí core competencies.

Our team aims to prevent potential issues, typical in many construction projects through proper planning and daily monitoring of the progress of the project. That means less disruption on the part of the Clients and their representatives.

Project management is the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently. In our Organization, process of activity to achieve specific Project goals is Planning, Design, Execution, Commissioning & Controland Handover. We are more usually time-constrained and as such require the distinct technical skills and management strategies.

We provide services which ensure cost control, time commitments and quality. The paramount importance is given to the interests of the owner of the building. We provide value engineering, suggestions on technical matters and guidance on contracts, management and costs.

Project Planning

Project planning relates to the use of schedules such as Gantt charts to plan and subsequently report progress. We adopt Primavera for scheduling, monitoring & update the progress. Initially, the project scope is defined and the durations for the various tasks necessary to complete the work are listed and grouped into a work breakdown structure. Project planning is often used to organize different areas of a project, including project plans, work loads and the management of teams and individuals. The logical dependencies between tasks are defined using an activity network diagram that enables identification of the critical path. Project planning is inherently uncertain as it must be done before the project is actually started. Therefore the duration of the tasks is often estimated through a weighted average of optimistic, normal, and pessimistic cases.

Project Design

The project design is the key document involved in the validation and registration of a project activity. It is one of the three documents required for a project, the validation, the designated operational entity and the letter of approval.

Project design includes:

The systematic identification and prioritization of problems and opportunities to be addressed through development projects

The identification of a hierarchy of project goals and objectives linked by causal relationships

The planning of solutions in terms of inputs, activities, outputs, effects and impacts, and

The assessment of project outcomes.

Primavera P6 Professional Project Management, the recognized standard for high-performance project management software, can handle large-scale, highly sophisticated and multifaceted projects. It is used to organize projects up to 100,000 activities, and it provides unlimited resources and an unlimited number of target plans.

Project Execution

Implementation is the phase in which the plan designed in the prior phases of the project life are put into action. The purpose of project execution is to deliver the project expected results. Actually, this is the longest phase of the project management lifecycle, where most resources are utilized.

During the execution, the execution team utilizes all the schedules, procedures and templates that were prepared and anticipated during prior phases. Unanticipated events and situations will inevitably be encountered, and the Project Manager and Project Team will have to deal with the same by decision making.

The key elements of project execution is the ability of working effectively in the team and the ability of remaining faithful to project scope.

Project Commissioning

The commissioning process comprises the integrated application of a set of engineering techniques and procedures to check, inspect and test every operational component of the project, from individual functions.

Commissioning activities, in the broader sense, are applicable to all phases of the project, from the basic and detailed design, procurement, construction, until the final handover of the unit to the owner, including sometimes an assisted operation phase.

Project Handover

Project manager have well-documented criteria of performance in place from the beginning of the project. The informationís are documented in the project management plan which includes all changes requested through the life of the project.

Some final project areas that need to be considered are:

  • Documentation requirements
  • Complete drawings
  • Final report
  • Customer feedback
  • Project audit
  • Update risk and work registers
  • Settle all invoices
  • Equipment and hire returns
  • Warranties and guarantees settled
  • Update financial systems
  • Document lessons learned

Finally, project team members need to be reassigned; surplus equipment, materials and supplies disposed of; and facilities released.
